Public Relation practitioners, on the other hand, use their right brain more. Iit is the half that gives them intuition, the propensity to dream, creativity, the ability to sense and perceive (Budd Jr, 1997). Now that we understand the science behind the â€Å"two minds†, let’s see how they affect our communications skills, problem solving techniques, and productivity in the world. Left brain individuals are great at giving and receiving verbal instructions. Since the left brain is the region for language, speech, and hearing, left-brained people are usually good at expressing themselves in words, and they enjoy writing and talking. For example if giving direction, the left brain person will say something like â€Å"From here, go west three blocks and turn north on Vine Street. Go three or four miles and then turn east onto Broad Street.† When it comes to problem solving, left-brained people process information based on reality. The Natural And Physical Aspects Of The World We Live

Physical –Chemical Oceanography I Science is the study of the natural and physical aspects of the world we live in. Science is the way humans try to understand why the environment acts in the way it does. Science has set of rules and guidelines that must be followed. The most important step in science is observation, the point of observation is so that the experiment can be measured and or the experiment can be repeated with similar or the same results. Hypotheses are then developed to disprove the observation as many scientists believe hypothesis can never be proven. Opinions are not facts and are based on subjective influences. Opinions cannot be measured or disproven because it is personal. Science cannot address all the issues and concerns due to the limit and restrictions it has. The fact that not everything can be proven shows how science cannot address all the issues. Commentary on The Book A Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger

The Catcher in the Rye has been prevalent in some of the most traumatic and earth-shattering moments in contemporary history, and may have even contributed to them. Before the police arrived and after the gun was fired, Mark David Chapman (John Lennon’s assassin) started reading lines from Salinger’s work. He recited the passage: â€Å" I keep picturing all these little kids...I’d just be the catcher in the rye and all† (Salinger 224-25). Author Daniel M. Stashower poses the message of Catcher in the Rye is the motive of John Lennons assassination; to preserve the innocence of the Beatles early work(Whitefield 174). Chapman found the notion of becoming the catcher in the rye enticing and took it into his own hands to protect the integrity of their work. The only way he could fathom to do so was by committing murder. A year later, there was an assassination attempt on President Reagan. During the investigation into the attempted assassin, John Hinkley Jr, police â€Å"found a half dozen paperbacks of Salinger’s novel† (174). Needless to say, Hinkley had a fascination with Holden Caulfield and what he stands for. One could presume Hinkley had similar motives to Chapman: protection of innocence. Some conspiracy theorists believe certain copies of The Catcher in the Rye have certain trigger words that set-off people to commit murder, but it is more likely these men latched onto the ideas presented in the novel. Holden’s purpose is to keep the innocence in the world. Japanese Business Etiquette-Free-Samples-Myassignmenthelp.com

Question: You are to prepare a formal analytical essay of strictly no more than 1500 words on Japanese Business Etiquette and steps that Emily can use to make a favourable first impression when she visits Japan to meet with Mr. Hamasaki. Answer: Introduction: As emphasized by Dunn (2013), Japanese Business Etiquette is one of the most craving keywords on Overture search-engine. Politeness, sensitivity, and good manners are the primary pillars of Japanese business etiquette. It has been observed in the case scenario that Emily is craving for expanding her Condiment Shop in Japan for drawing the attention of Japanese customers. She is not aware of the Japanese etiquette so that she can interact with Mr. Hamasaki, a senior manager of popular business store of Japan. Hirschmeier and Yui (2013) stated that in order to flourish the entire process of business in Japan Emily needs to have an in-depth knowledge and experience about the needs and demands of Japanese customers. She has to be accustomed with the Japanese culture so that customers over there show their interest in purchasing products. As per the case scenario it is quite evident that Emily is not very much aware of the business etiquette of Japan. Therefore, before expanding the entir e business process she should gain detailed information about the culture and trend of Japan. Based on their culture and ethics, Emily would have to implement business strategy and policy for running Condiment Shop in the market of Japan. Martin and Chaney (2012) opined that this particular study has focused to provide an in-depth analysis on how Emily should adopt Japanese business etiquette for fulfilling the needs and demands of the customers. Depending on the Japanese culture and beliefs, Emily has to form the product quality as well as service process. At the same time, it is also undeniable that the entire management of Condiment Shop should be endowed with Japanese ethics so that employees belonging to Japan show their interest for being associated with the company of Emily. This particular study has focused to make an in-depth critical analysis on Japanese Business Etiquette that Emily can follow for running their entire chain of business. Discussion: As emphasized by Washington, Okoro and Thomas (2012), Japanese business etiquette ensures that both men and women at their office premises should maintain formal attire in order to keep up the internal environment of business disciplined and cultured. Men are primarily preferred to wear dark suits with light shirt at the office premises especially from the month of October to April. On the other hand, in between the May to September men are allowed to wear half sleeve attire due to the extreme hot weather. At the same time, women are also allowed to maintain formal attire at the time of office hour for maintaining organizational behavior. As per Japanese culture and belief attire reflects on the personality of an individual. Therefore, Emily before setting the management rule about the costume of employees should be aware of Japanese culture. She should never allow her employees in wearing casual dress at the office premises. This particular decision may affect on the overall busines s decision of the employees as well. While arranging a first meeting Japanese always intend to maintain a formal gesture before shaking their hand to each other. As per the Japanese cultural tradition, an individual should bow before staring the face to face meeting or session. Okoro (2012) stated that Emily needs to know this particular gesture very well as she is willing to meet with Mr. Hamasaki for a serious business meeting. Mr. Hamasaki being a senior to Emily would definitely expect a proper gesture from her at the very first meet up. Therefore, this particular gesture would be very much beneficial for Emily to make a rapport with that person. On the other hand, Japanese culture believes on individual performance. As per the business tradition of Japan it is believed that individual performance is highly important for rendering the success of business. In order to render the revenue growth of the organization every single employee has to give best performance. A particular group would be able to perform well only when an individual employee becomes active within the team for fulfilling the business target. Therefore, in order to make an entire group active an individual should have complete endeavor towards the team performances. Therefore, the business experts of Japan should focus on individual performance rather than group activity. Emily while recruiting the employees with her business process should recruit those employees who are skillful and competent enough in this particular business field. She should focus the performance level of every individual employee. Japanese culture believes on the health and security of the employees. As per the business ethics in Japanese etiquette business organizations should be responsible for the health issues of employees happened at the workplace. Lee (2012) opined that with the help of health and safety act people facing any kind of health issue at their workplace need to get necessary co-operation from the business experts. Company should take the responsibility of those employees by bearing the health cost (Eckard Marchiori, Carraher Stiles, 2014). However, while launching the entire process of business Emily should follow health and safety act at her workplace so that employees can feel secured in being associated with the organization of Emily. It is undeniable that Emily has started her journey from Perth. The cultural trend of Australia completely differs from the culture of Japan (Guffey Loewy, 2012). The products that Emily has manufactured for her Condiment Shop, was focused for the customers of Perth. After the expansion of business process Emily is having the responsibility of fulfilling the needs and demands of Japanese customers as well. Therefore, they should render variety of their products and services. The primary product with which Emily is dealing includes chilli sauces, pastes, chutneys and jams. In order to draw the attention of Japanese the organization should enhance their product variety so that customers belonging to different geographical cultures and attitudes show their interest towards the brand manufactured by Emily. Fujio and Tanaka (2012) opined that Japan is endowed with cross cultural communication. Japanese organizations are possessed with large number of employees belonging to different cult ures and attitudes. Cultural diversity is one of the most significant factors with which Japanese organizations are dealing. Therefore, Emily while recruiting the employees with her business process should never any specific choice towards a particular religion. Employees should be recruited as per their skill and competency level. Every single person belonging to different cultural backgrounds and attitudes should get scope to be the part of her business organization. Cook (2013) stated that manner and gesture is one of the most significant etiquettes that Japanese tends to follow while making a business deal. While talking to a senior the employees have to maintain a proper gesture for showing the respect or gratitude towards the senior employees. Putting hands into the pocket at the time of making interacting with a senior is a gesture that is against business etiquette of Japan. Therefore, Emily while meeting up with Mr. Hamasaki should never show that kind of gesture which is against their etiquettes. At the same time, an individual employee is not allowed to pointing a person by using finger in a group meeting or interpersonal meeting. Gesteland (2012) opined that Employees are not allowed to open up any gift in front of everyone in order to avoid embarrassing situations. This kind of embarrassing situations may hamper the rhythmic process of business. As a result, employees may be deviated from giving a good performance towards the business services. Emily before launching the business wings in the market of Japan should follow these etiquettes strictly. On one hand, maintaining etiquettes are necessary for drawing the attention of target customers. On the other hand, in order to recruit Japanese employees within the business process Emily should follow these business etiquettes strictly. De Mente (2012) stated that without having a proper business etiquettes and business ethics no organization can perform well. While expanding the business in Japan Emily should follow the same. Conclusion: After making an in-depth critical analysis regarding the important of business etiquette in Japan some of the major recommendations can be provided that Emily should follow before expanding her Condiment Shop. It can be suggested to become flexible with communication. Emily is having the background of Australia. Therefore she may have to face difficulties in communicating with the people of Japan while making the business deal. Thus, before expanding the entire business process Emily should have proper flexibility in her way of communication so that Japanese employees do not get hesitated in interacting with her. On the other hand, Emily should be flexible in her psychological belief as well so that she can take a collective decision while implementing necessary business strategy and policy. On the other hand, it can be recommended that Emily while recruiting an individual employee within the business process should never focus on the religion and cultural background of that individual. Employees should be recruited as per the skills and competency level of an employee. This particular study has focused to make detailed discussion about the business etiquettes of Japanese. In two old ages he proved his courage and superior accomplishments at weaponries. After these old ages and Sulla # 8217 ; s surrender in 78 BC, Julius decided to return to Rome. There he served as an officer in Crassus # 8217 ; s ground forces against Spartacus, Caesar climbed steadily in the authorities by functioning as an functionary in many states ( Internet Explorer ) . After the decease of his married woman Cornelia, Julius remarried a affluent married woman and allied with Crassus, who was the richest adult male in Rome at the clip ( Internet Explorer ) . Their opposition was Pompeius Magnus ( the Great ) . Caesar wanted to go portion of the consulate. The consulate was a governmental place where two consuls, nominated each twelvemonth, held the power of the province. Caesar was trusting that he and Crassus would go the powerful consuls of the Roman Empire. However, the Senate tried to halt his attempts by opposing Crassus, Pompeius and Caesar against each other. Caesar noticed this and did something believed impossible. Julius created an confederation among himself, Crassus, and Pompeius ( Encarta 2000 ) . The confederation made it possible for them all to portion power. This three manner consulship was called a Triumvirate ( Internet Explorer ) . This understanding dictated the Roman policy for the following decennary. Following, he crushed Germanic forces under Ariovistus and farther proved his excellent leading. Julius Caesar now turned his head wholly on political relations. In 51 BC, while still contending some immune kins, he proposed to the Senate to widen his governor-ship for another two old ages, which allowed him to run for consul in the twelvemonth 48 BC ( A consul could merely go consul once more after 10 old ages ) . He said that he earned it based on his presentations in Gaul and referred to Pompeius whose governor ship in Spain had been extended the twelvemonth earlier. But the senate hesitated. In the twelvemonth 50 BC, Caesar still tried to widen his governor ship, but to guarantee the trueness of his ground forces he doubled their wage. Other immense amounts went into public financess and the creative activity of his ain Ag coins: # 8220 ; CAE # 8221 ; on one side and # 8220 ; SAR # 8221 ; on the other, and a kneeling Vercingetorix before him ( Encarta 2000 ) . The two consuls of 50 BC were hostile to him, but he managed to corrupt one of them. This caused a deadlock in the Senate. Then, tardily in the autumn, the senate decide that Caesar and Pompeius were to release control of their ground forcess and states. Caesar # 8217 ; s followings tried to blackball it, but the hostile consul ordered Pompeius to support the Republic with two Hosts at Capua and the authorization to raise more. Caesar thereupon gathered his ain ground forcess and went south. Both commanding officers were still on speech production footings and Caesar made another proposal. The proposal was that he would release control of all but two of his hosts and The state of Cisalpine Gaul ( the portion of Gaul lying in Italy ) . Pompeius agreed, but the senate ordered him to wait. Caesar so made an ultimatum. Julius summed up his services to the province and demanded that he could maintain his hosts and states till he was elected consul. In January 49 BC Mark Anthony, Caesar # 8217 ; s trusted lieutenant, demanded that the ultimatum he read aloud in the senate. Although the bulk would hold swayed for peace, the oppositions of Caesar would let no via medias and bullied all the scared senators that Caesar should disband his ground forcess or be declared enemy of the province. The Senate so stripped Julius of all his offices and the Republic declared war on him. Julius Caesar # 8217 ; s reaction to this was on January 11. He led his individual host, which he had assembled, across the span over a little watercourse that marked the boundary between his state and the Roman fatherland. This topographic point was the Rubicon. Pompeius tried to halt Caesar, but all was in vain. No 1 dared to stand up against Caesar # 8217 ; s superior veteran soldiers. The senate and Pompeius were now panic stricken and left Italy to head toward Albania, without taking the exchequer with them. Once in Rome, Caesar wasted no clip. Against no effectual resistance, he assembled a stopgap senate, took control of the authorities and broke unfastened the exchequer. Mark Anthony was put in charge of the Italian hosts and Caesar himself went to the independent metropolis of Massilia. He could non capture the metropolis, but he went to Spain and crushed Pompeius followings. When Caesar returned to Massilia, he was clement and did non plunder the metropolis, but it was no longer independent. He returned to Rome as a master, but at that place was still Pompeius and the old senate. Pompeius himself had raised a monolithic ground forces in Macedonia. Caesar lacked a navy and was forced to set down in Yugoslavia with merely 20,000 work forces ( 7 under powered hosts ) . Although Julius was mostly outnumbered, he and Mark Anthony were winning over Pompeius. What happened was really uneven. Queerly Pompeius withdrew his ground forces and Caesar remarked # 8220 ; Today the enemy would hold won, if they had a commanding officer who was a winner. # 8221 ; Caesar now chased after Pompeius towards Pharsalus. Here Caesar # 8217 ; s 32,000 faced Pompeius 43,000. It was traveling to be the largest struggle of the civil war over the Roman Empire. On a forenoon in early August both ground forcess attacked. Caesar # 8217 ; s left and halfway held strong, while his right withdrew. Pompeius, detecting Caesar # 8217 ; s weak side headed his horse in the spread, but Caesar intelligently sent in his last modesty, and Pompeius lines merely collapsed. Nineteen months after the crossing of the Rubico Caesar became dictator and maestro of the Roman Empire. The defeated Pompeius now fled to Egypt but was killed one time there by his ain work forces ( Encarta 2000 ) . Although he had to stamp out several rebellions, in 46 BC Caesar eventually could present four Triumph parades for his triumphs. Caesar is believed to hold been merely 26 old ages old at the clip. Caesar was now the swayer of the Roman Empire and the senate declared him dictator for life. As a swayer, Caesar instituted assorted reforms. In states, he eliminated the extremely corrupt revenue enhancement system, extended Roman citizenship, and sponsored settlements of veterans. Besides Caesar # 8217 ; s reform of the calendar gave Rome a rational agencies of recording clip which was really of import ( Encarta 2000 ) . However, a figure of senatorial households felt that Caesar threatened their place. Thus, on the 6th of March 44 BC, the so called Idess of March, Caesar was murdered by Marcus Brutus, Gaius Cassius, and his two trusted commanding officers of his old hosts Decimus Brutus and Gaius Trebonius ( Encarta 2000 ) . Caesar was stabbed 23 times. While the blood poured out of his hurt organic structure the great dictator of Rome mutely pulled his toga over his caput and fell at the pes of a statue of Pompeius ( Internet Explorer ) . In decision, Julius Caesar was likely the greatest adult male of his clip and the most successful. It was Caesar who ended the Roman democracy and paved the manner for the ulterior Roman emperors ( Encarta 2000 ) . From his early life to his decease no other adult male accomplished every bit much as he did. Julius Caesar in my sentiment was the greatest soldier and dictator of all clip. Enzyme Biochemistry - What They Are and How They Work

Enzyme Biochemistry - What They Are and How They Work An enzyme is defined as a macromolecule that catalyzes a biochemical reaction. In this type of chemical reaction, the starting molecules are called substrates. The enzyme interacts with a substrate, converting it into a new product. Most enzymes are named by combining the name of the substrate with the -ase suffix (e.g., protease, urease). Nearly all metabolic reactions inside the body rely on enzymes in order to make the reactions proceed quickly enough to be useful. Chemicals called activators can enhance enzyme activity, while inhibitors decrease enzyme activity. The study of enzymes is termed enzymology. There are six broad categories used to classify enzymes: Oxidoreductases - involved in electron transferHydrolases - cleave the substrate by hydrolysis (uptaking a water molecule)Isomerases - transfer a group in a molecule to form an isomerLigases (or synthetases) - couple the breakdown of a pyrophosphate bond in a nucleotide to the formation of new chemical bondsOxidoreductases - act in electron transferTransferases - transfer a chemical group from one molecule to another How Enzymes Work Enzymes work by lowering the activation energy needed to make a chemical reaction occur. Like other catalysts, enzymes change the equilibrium of a reaction, but they arent consumed in the process. While most catalysts can act on a number of different types of reactions, a key feature of an enzyme is that it is specific. In other words, an enzyme that catalyzes one reaction wont have any effect on a different reaction. Most enzymes are globular proteins that are much larger than the substrate with which they interact. They range in size from 62 amino acids to more than 2,500 amino acid residues, but only a portion of their structure is involved in catalysis. The enzyme has what is called an active site, which contains one or more binding sites that orient the substrate in the correct configuration, and also a catalytic site, which is the part of the molecule that lowers activation energy. The remainder of an enzymes structure acts primarily to present the active site to the substrate in the best way. There may also be allosteric site, where an activator or inhibitor can bind to cause a conformation change that affects the enzyme activity. Some enzymes require an additional chemical, called a cofactor, for catalysis to occur. The cofactor could be a metal ion or an organic molecule, such as a vitamin. Cofactors may bind loosely or tightly to enzymes. Tightly-bound cofactors are called prosthetic groups. Two explanations of how enzymes interact with substrates are the lock and key model, proposed by Emil Fischer in 1894, and the induced fit model, which is a modification of the lock and key model that was proposed by Daniel Koshland in 1958. In the lock and key model, the enzyme and the substrate have three-dimensional shapes that fit each other. The induced fit model proposes enzyme molecules can change their shape, depending on the interaction with the substrate. In this model, the enzyme and sometimes the substrate change shape as they interact until the active site is fully bound. Examples of Enzymes Over 5,000 biochemical reactions are known to be catalyzed by enzymes. The molecules are also used in industry and household products. Enzymes are used to brew beer and to make wine and cheese. Enzyme deficiencies are associated with some diseases, such as phenylketonuria and albinism. Here are a few examples of common enzymes: Amylase in saliva catalyzes the initial digestion of carbohydrates in food.Papain is a common enzyme found in meat tenderizer, where it acts to break the bonds holding protein molecules together.Enzymes are found in laundry detergent and stain removers to help break up protein stains and dissolve oils on fabrics.DNA polymerase catalyzes a reaction when DNA is being copied and then checks to make sure the correct bases are being used. Are All Enzymes Proteins? Nearly all known enzymes are proteins. At one time, it was believed all enzymes were proteins, but certain nucleic acids, called catalytic RNAs or ribozymes, have been discovered that have catalytic properties. Most of the time students study enzymes, they are really studying protein-based enzymes, since very little is known about how RNA can act as a catalyst.

For On Est Allé, Agreement is Optional

For On Est Allà ©, Agreement is Optional Mistakes will always be made in French, and now you can learn from them. When you want to say we went or   they went in French, you dont have to use the French subject pronouns nous or ils/elles.  You can choose to use the indefinite subject pronoun on. Its always conjugated in the third person singular, and it may or may not agree with the subject it replaces or any adjectives present. Using on as an informal replacement for these plural subject pronouns, there are actually two options: Either the past participle allà © agrees in gender and number with the plural masculine pronoun that on replaces, or it doesnt. Actually, you can choose either. Agreement is optional. Both forms are correct Both on est allà © AND on est allà ©s are correct.  Its your choice. The French pronoun on is a little strange. It literally translates to the indefinite one as in one shouldnt do that, but it can also mean we, you, they, or people in general. One often hesitates over agreement when on replaces a plural. Since on has to take the third person singular form of the verb, it might seem as though agreement should also be singular. In other words, no agreement. In fact, agreement with whatever subject on replaces is optional. Either way is correct.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Nous sommes allà ©s au cinà ©ma. / On est allà © au cinà ©ma. / On est allà ©s au cinà ©ma.  These all mean: We went to the movies. They are all correct.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Sont-elles prà ªtes ? / Est-on prà ªt ? / Est-on prà ªtes ? These all mean: Are they ready? They are all correct. What Is On? 1. On  (listen) is the indefinite pronoun and literally means one. Its often equivalent to the English  passive voice.   Ã‚  Ã‚  On ne devrait pas poser cette question.  Ã‚  Ã‚  One shouldnt ask that question.   Ã‚  Ã‚  On demande : caissier.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Cashier wanted.      On ne dit pas à §a.  Ã‚  Ã‚  That isnt said.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ici on parle franà §ais.  Ã‚  Ã‚  French is spoken here. 2. On  is also an informal replacement for we, you, they, someone, or people in general.   Ã‚  Ã‚  On va sortir ce soir.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Were going out tonight.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Alors les enfants, que veut-on faire  ?  Ã‚  Ã‚  OK kids, what do you want to do?   Ã‚  Ã‚  On dit que ce resto est bon.  Ã‚  Ã‚  They say that this restaurant is good.   Ã‚  Ã‚  On a trouvà © mon portefeuille.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Someone found my wallet.   Ã‚  Ã‚  On est fou !  Ã‚  Ã‚  People are crazy!   Ã‚  Ã‚  On ne sait jamais.  Ã‚  Ã‚  You never know. Agreement With On There are two related debates about whether  agreement  is required with the subject implied by  on: 1.  Adjectives: In  on est content  (we/they are happy OR someone is happy), should the adjective agree?  Ã‚  Ã‚  feminine:  On est contente.  Ã‚  Ã‚  plural:  On est contents.  Ã‚  Ã‚  feminine plural:  On est contentes.2.  ÃƒÅ tre verbs: In  on est tombà ©Ã‚  (we/they/someone fell), should the past participle agree?  Ã‚  Ã‚  feminine:  On est tombà ©e.  Ã‚  Ã‚  plural:  On est tombà ©s.  Ã‚  Ã‚  feminine plural:  On est tombà ©es. There is no real consensus, so heres my opinion:  On  is a neuter singular pronoun, so there shouldnt be agreement, but its really up to you...or your French teacher.   Additional Resources On:  indefinite subject pronounOn vs. lonAgreement
